ive hit the point where i got 90% of what i need to do finished, but the code is messy and weird and slow, and the last tiny 10% is confusing af and i cant get the motivation to do it cause its only the last bit and i just wanna be saved by an all powerful diety

re: ppl saying make dummy data, I'd have to figure out how, while preserving the (many hundreds of) column names, and then somehow keeping the same type of data in each column, within the same range (some issues i have is confused data ranges)

i keep having the experience of having ppl be like 'im a programmer i can help' but then they dont know my version of python or pandas or whatever and so its no longer a fast/easy fix for them, they have to sit down and learn stuff, and then i feel bad asking

Come up with a small fake sample dataset and give it to whoever you ask for help with the code?

how do i do that? id have to learn how to program in fake data while preserving all the column names and the corresponding data types in each column

I used to work in IT, testing large systems. If you can anonymise your dataset for testing the code, then you can keep the original.
