I'm not sure what the premises are here, but I assume it's something like "Liberal, comsopolitan, non xenophobic, open minded" vs "patriotic, innocent, arguable victim of inescapable tradtion, filial" or something; I guess the oddness of the comparison also bcause latter v common
There are good and bad things about China. I suspect the Chinese approval is partially because of liking one’s own culture/government.
So a Chinese person gets less credit for liking the good and less blame for liking the bad.
In the abstract, the former. But IRL, the latter.
The former is probably the victim of propaganda, and the latter's bias is excusable, the 'default position', so to speak.
So I'm not clicking either. I'll check out the poll results when they're done.
