You can get on a plane with no photo ID if you’re insistent and produce lots of non photo ID like credit cards. I did it flying from Philly to SF in 2011 and was surprised at the relative ease.
Suspect it might come down to the TSA on duty at the time

TSA can call a special number and they ask you questions about your childhood home. Also, a magazine with your name on it can supposedly help. Lost my wallet in Chicago in 2016 or so with same challenge

Happened to me a few years back. Show up early. They will have you calls number that will ask you to confirm your identity by answering questions like “what is your mother’s maiden name,” “what middle school did you attend,” etc. It took about 30 mins.
maybe make sure United find your wallet from the flight. this will enhance your story significantly
