you know your society is unhingedly neophilic when "reactionary" is a generic snarl word, as if there were no such thing as a switch that needs to be flipped back to its starting position or a social experiment that failed
there kind of isn't? Like, social experiments happen for reasons, usually deep and powerful, and you can't just easily undo the underlying causes. maybe find a different outlet or something sure, but you can't make a child ungrow.
We could reinstate slavery if we wanted too, as well as eliminate women's rights.
We can ban and regulate social media usage, restrict internet access, go back arranged marriages, etc.
We literally can.
present is a response to the past—regression is senseless—it doesn’t solve the present problem—just aims to turn back the hands of time—people rarely even have in mind different answers to the past(if they had an alternative progression they wouldn’t be regressive)
Hmm. I think you can revert back to the old way more informed about how and why how it works. Maybe with slight tweaks learned from the experiment.
A sort of hero’s journey approach.
