maybe the reason we all aren't upfront about what we dislike about our friends is cause the ppl who have "likes-everybody" privilege outcompete everyone else, and the only way everybody else can survive is to pretend they also like everybody. like pretending you orgasm easily.

Disagreeables are widely liked tho. Sun king Louis xiv at least according to tales was the type to rarely if ever give approval… liking everyone just isn’t the outcompeting thing afaict

In this day and age the “disagreeable power frame” is fragile & temporary IMO. It lasts maybe a year until people learn the schtick and lose respect — have seen this over and over

yes maybe or maybe it's because what we most (+secretly) dislike about others is usually a projection of the inner shadow not overcome (that's also why it's usually a lot safer not 2 voice certain opinions, because it could shatter convenient self-delusions)
