A lot of transphobia is just the pervasive hatred of people born male, only notable because now they're women and some people suddenly go 'wait a second you can't treat women like that'

i mean right, but i think part of the resistance towards seeing them as women is *because* they see such a large gap between the genders, sympathy/agency-wise. It's easier to view ppl as switching categories if the categories aren't really that different
