as far as interesting sex researchers go, i think im at a disadvantage cause i dont have very strong opinions on theories behind what im researching. I find some correlations and im like cool, shrug, seems like we updated a nudge in one direction, but i don't know yet

I think the subversion of the identity of the researcher is as much ur thesis as anything else , the subject is now the brain, i think it’s quite fascinating

i like that framing yea. it feels right that a lot of what i wanna write about in the research is the like... emotional/identity experience of doin the research. like how incentives affect it

I think quantifying the male gaze is a rly cool concept too re: men actually prefer shoulder length hair (as a female gaze person this confuses me as I adore extra long hair) etc. i think a sex worker applying the scientific method to her clients/ data of desire = amazing concept

So, two threads now, 1) your research and 2) what it means to you personally. Keep them both going! But, for (1), be wary of measuring and quantifying without any hypothesis to guide you; that's just aimless "fishing".
