sometimes i meet exciting ppl that make me think my friend-making mechanism *isn't* broken, or amazing communities that make me think im actually extroverted. I wonder who I'd be in a world where that type of person was the default, where I was that excited by everyone.

This reminds of the research on communication between neurotypical and non-neurotypical groups. I empathise. I find myself having a very small collection of friends that I really click with. The rest requires energy to bring yourself in sync with them.

This sounds very familiar. The way I express it is that I may be extroverted by my nature but an introvert by habit. There's a few people who I can vibe with at any time no matter what.

I don't even bother with people anymore. I like entertaining people, and was a magician for awhile, but I don't want to know people or hang out with them. Ah well, there's always vidya gaems.
