sometimes i meet exciting ppl that make me think my friend-making mechanism *isn't* broken, or amazing communities that make me think im actually extroverted. I wonder who I'd be in a world where that type of person was the default, where I was that excited by everyone.

Theory: everyone is introverted, but we learn to express ourselves through a given language and medium.
Case study: met an "introverted" backpacker in Vietnam who struggled with English; realized we spoke the same language & suddenly she became "extroverted."

Non-shy introvert? Gotta use that social fuel on things that are worth it.
Personally, when I'm burning that fuel, I act very extroverted. But once that tank is empty, I am all kinds of done with people.
