i hate the trans culture war; can't people agree that 'being trans' is a real oppressed thing we need way more cultural compassion for, and also that trans ppl aren't in fact completely biologically identical to their desired gender and u cant control ppl's perception of gender

like neither extremist side in this debate is sane, both are making unreasonable demands of the others. you cant just shame trans people out of being trans by insisting on the most unflattering descriptions, and u cant just force people to feel safe around you if they don't

and the whole 'allowing kids to transition' question, i dont have a good answer but can't we at least *start* that discourse with "fuck that's a really hard question and no matter what proposal we go with, someone's gonna end up hurt", *before* we go yell at others they're wrong?

I was protesting for trans rights 4 years ago. Now I'm watching my trans sister quickly descend into suicide. 2 attempts this week. This is very often mental illness. Super sad.

Groomers r doing this 2 people, brainwashing them 2 believe what’s not real. It sets people up 4 torture and suffering when the person must face reality. By not accepting reality and truth, this movement is pushing already depressed and vulnerable ppl deeper into their darkness.

Ur movement minimizes women, LGB, unleashes physical threats on ppl to comply with stuff that’s not real, compels speech. It forces people to abide by a delusion while turning a blind eye to abuse of children. Ur movement is everything LGB fought decades to prove we weren’t.

Actually yes and no. Real trans people are extremely rare. Asperger for instance are more likely to become trans for instance because they think differently. A lot of the people who think their trans have mental issues and just need help to get back on a better life.

forget the trans debate, talk about parents appropriating children's rights, this is the only debate worth having in the third millennium, children are no longer chattel
