The problem isn't that they cant be gay, it's that the company has the ability to do it, it could've been for marketing and they could have limited themselves & do (and have probably done) crazier unethical things (failed test subjects nobody knows about that grew, etc)

Despite gay people removing themselves from the gene pool, there proportion seems to remain relatively stable across human history. This tells me that gayness is an evolutionary trait inflicted on a small number of the population to the benefit of the overall tribe.
