very surprised both with how many people know sex workers, and how positive the reception is. Is that an american thing? Is that because most of your followers are relatively liberal? Or am I the one who grew up sheltered here?

Tough one. My view of sex work is generally positive in the sense that I have respect for the workers and wish it were legal and regulated, but negative in how the workers are abused and subjected to violence today.

Interactions have been positive, but I remain skeptical about sex work as an occupation. Commodification generally profanes the sacred. This is true of sex just as it is with art (entertainment), philosophy (sophistry), even food production (junk). Commodification is alienating
