Yeah.
I was on the fence, until I figured that "hard" should be an objective amount of physical force, equally applied in both situations.
Then imagining having to get up to that level 200x, myself ... eh ... easier to just sit there

Self requires not only resolve in the face (no pun intended) of hardship, but also the mental effort needed to override resistance to self-harm.
Other requires only the former.
