lived in a group house where my roommates fucking in the living room was kinda normal and I also feel nostalgic for that. It's crazy how normal and safe public sexuality can feel if everybody just buys into it.

It used to be totally normal for parents to have sex in front of their kids. Primates do this all the time, humans included (one room house cultures). It doesn't hurt kids unless they have been *taught* sex is bad.

I knew a guy in China who played porn given to him by cops who'd confiscated videos at the airport since it's illegal. Neighbors wandered in and chatted with him without batting an eye.
