one of my common stress dreams is being in an airplane that's barely managing to maneuver between power lines and bridges n shit, and it only just struck me this might have been caused by one time a pilot pranked me in a plane by shutting off engine and flying under a tiny bridge

same actually but i was never pranked
sometimes it’s not even limited to planes, ill be in these fantastical “sky structures” that have some kind of ridiculous g-force element to it (like a roller coaster or something). really weird idk why

You’ve just read Scott’s latest, haven’t you?
My common stress dreams:
There’s a pop quiz that I haven’t studied for;
I am driving and the breaks suddenly stop working;
I am trapped in a violent/destitute country that I cannot leave.

Fyi that prank would definitely cost a pilot their license, if reported to the FAA.

My dad used to chase me (playfully - he meant well) with whipper snippers when I was a kid. But it terrified me. I grew up having some sort of fear of engines. Avoided motorbikes when other kids loved them & delayed learning to drive by a good 5-7 years. All from an innocent game

In a life without that pilot, your brain would have used some other metaphor
