You would predict that, in the data from my survey, polyamorous people were _____ likely to be aroused at the thought of erotic scenarios involving multiple partners (such as gangbangs, bukkake, etc.)?

I'd say "about as much", but with a pretty significant confidence interval, since for the way I model it there's too many confounders.
I could answer quite confidently if the question were asked for all entries of a matrix involving: [1/2]

- respondent gender
- (primary) partner gender
- scenario involving / not involving partner
- other participants genders
Gonna check if the survey has some q's which I could use as a proxy, and in case I'll pre-register :)

I read somewhere that conservative couples in traditional marriages fantasize more about polyamory and adultery than liberal couples do.

I would say “less”. Polyamory is grounded heavily in the emotional aspects of sexual engagement, that are not as present in group settings (I like group sexual scenarios and this is one factor in my not being polyamorous)

i'm saying "less" purely on metagaming instincts here; i don't have a fully fleshed-out explanation for why it would be true though

It depends on whether more people are poly because they find the idea of multiple partners hot or because they don't find it taboo.

As a polyamorous person myself, I am primarily interested in one-on-one scenarios. I just don't want it to be the SAME one ALL the time.

About as equal, for the same reasoning as other replies. Poly doesn't necessarily mean "group orgy".
