I think executive function bottlenecks earning potential to a much greater extent, and I’d argue that “smart enough to know how difficult something is” is catastrophic without sufficient executive function. You can lump it in with “intelligence” but it’s not what iq is measuring.

Best take i’ve seen. People often forget theres an important cognitive mechanism (EF) that is independent from IQ that dictates goal oriented behaviors. ppl tend to focus on their innate psycho metrics like IQ. It’s why when psychologists say IQ isn’t that important, they mean it

Considering the vast majority of ultra rich YouTube, Twitch, and OnlyFans kids there are, I’m fairly certain IQ isn’t a huge factor in success nowadays.
