When I was younger and less self accepting, the problem was less that I didn't accept myself and more that I didn't comprehend what self acceptance meant. I *thought* I did, but it was always subconsciously tinged with conditions - I imagined I'd self accept when I changed.

For me it's like a kind of awakening ...a dance of the seven veils...as each veil drops I see myself more clearly, better understanding my behaviors, thoughts, emotions and reactions.

And being less and less afraid of any sort of change and differentiation that might occur across many of life's domains. Habits, roles, how you're perceived, how you perceive yourself,. etc...
