When I was younger and less self accepting, the problem was less that I didn't accept myself and more that I didn't comprehend what self acceptance meant. I *thought* I did, but it was always subconsciously tinged with conditions - I imagined I'd self accept when I changed.

My journey to self acceptance hasn't been just accepting, but learning to identify all the subconscious conditions I've been invisibly holding - and there's a lot, on many levels, each one more surprising and subtle than the last. Self acceptance is the process of simply looking.
