One result of showering/washing hair less often (and being around who do the same) is I've rewritten my sensory preferences; silky, conditioned hair feels strange/fake/bad to me now, and I have increasing appreciation for ppls natural body odors that I previously parsed as bad.

(recently got back from a salon appt where they used their products on my hair to make it super smooth and shiny, and i snuggled up to a boi and he said something like "what happened to your hair, i don't like it, it's like they're trying to make it not hair")

(my current product use is Gavean Astragalus Natural Moisturizing Shampoo, which i love, and i have been trying out various 'low-ingredient' conditioners on the ends. i use basic castile soap on my body rn. I wash both hair and body about once every 1-2 weeks)

(also been really liking R+Co dry shampoo paste in between hair washes; I used to use rye flour + boar hair bristle brushing to absorb extra grease but it was a lil too much effort for me. The paste is the first dry shampoo i've found that doesn't make my hair feel worse)

I usually appreciate how challenging this Twitter account is, but this time is definitely an exception.
