So my toenail is mostly off, but still hanging on in one corner. I have it bandaged with nothing between the toenail and the bed, but managed to squeeze some neosporin around the edges. Is this a bad idea? Will the toenail fuse poorly to the bed or something?

Nah your good for now
Will most likely come all the way off and you’ll have to start from keratin scratch tho

It won't fuse. It will come off entirely all on its own. If you pull it off now it will hurt and probably bleed rather a lot, but if you just leave it for a couple days it will drop off with minimal fuss. Neosporin under it on the nail bed is good.

unless the root came out, it will probably grow back. i suggest a podiatrist.

I've had my big toenail ripped off twice and my little one once and they've always grown back ok. Well, so far

DM me if you want detailed instructions how to handle the toenail. Am a foot & ankle surgeon.
Basic principle is to clean and re-position for it to support soft tissues and prevent fusion of the nail matrix to the eponychium
