i think it took a week or so for me to walk on it? and then 9 months before the nail actually grew back in all the way

It takes a year to regrow toenails. Had one pop off working construction on a coworkers expense.
3 days til the pain is gone.

i did this once, i could walk normally, if a bit lightly and carefully, within a couple days

Happens to me so often the answer is "immediately" but if it's your first time idk, a day or two? Faster than you'd think.

I kept pressure on it, like cast, that way it protected it and once you get used that light pressure, I forgot it was there.

Should be able to walk on it straight away with some pain and discomfort. When I did mine I had to work on my feet all the next day and evening. The toe kind of exploded, so don't overdo it. My nail was reforming within a week, and is fully back now after about 2 months.
