Conversation

One big change in my twitter use due to follower count increase was that I engage with respondents *way* less. I used to like... have debates with people who disagreed, or clarify in response to comments more, but I'm increasingly feeling like twitter is not the forum for that.

I suspect a bit of it is feeling like... vulnerability in people being able to make me respond to them, or something? Which I really didn't mind before but now it really feels more like a vulnerability, like opening myself up to an audience all sitting there with knives

Debates which used to feel invigorating now are more exhausting; some part of my mental energy is going into more... caution? Less throwing stuff to see what sticks? Imagine a nice discussion with a friend in your living room except hundreds of people are waiting to pounce on you

you can pose questions specifically to the circles feature to limit the conversation when you are feeling debate. obviously doing so negates the reach of surveys though but could be a way of limiting to a 100 person sample size whenever you want.

No one is entitled ylto you emotion or mental energy but you. I think that's a smart move on your part. Too many people here feel entitled to your time and energy and they are definitely not.

A pouncer’s pounce impetus derives from a lack of legibility of the justification for an account’s size or reach. The throne is therefore perceived as vulnerable to ambitious and treasonable acts. Speaking from first hand experience. 🤣
