I recently rewatched this French comedy from the 60s, in which someone who got frozen in polar ice in the 1900s is revived, and so he won't get a shock everyone around him has to dress up like this - and realized that today's equivalent would mean dressing up like in the 60s.

The 1900s example seems to be what one would wear to some event, not everyday clothes like the other two examples, so the comparison isn’t perfect.
