Some fetishes start earlier than others. Which fetish types would you predict start earliest and latest, and why? Do earlier fetishes tend to be more weird or common? I wish I'd taken time to come up with a theory before I looked at my data, so I'm posing the question for you.

I have a theory that fetishes and kinks are directly tied to your first sexual experiences. I have only anecdotal evidence to back up my assertion, but I'd be interested to see statistics.

My take on it is that we become aroused and then search for an explanation. If we see the same explanation more than a couple times, we make a mental connection and it becomes a fetish. So the weird ones would happen earlier, because we're less likely to recognise the real cause.

Anecdotally, I've heard people say their bondage fetishes started early watching stuff like women getting tied up in cartoons.

Would guess earlier more common, and examples being incest, body parts, furry, and sizes. Latter less common, and eg. violence, things with tools, relationship dynamics

Probably being into feet as the earliest. It's a wiring issue
