I've studied pickup extensively and used it on hundreds of women.
It's basically learning to simulate the behavior of a psychopath.
Those who see other people as ends don't play games with them. Those with disdain for others, and who see them only as means, do.

Maybe. Here's an example behavior prescribed by pickup:
"I like her. But I should pretend to push her away to create an air of aloofness and scarcity in order to trigger fear of loss."
This strikes me as machiavellian and the product of a psyche that's undesirable in a partner.
