PSA: I'm somewhat faceblind, in that my ability to recognize ppl is v spotty; if I've seen faces a lot I'm pretty good, but it takes longer than average for the recognition to snap in. If we've had a few conversations and then I act like I don't know you, its an accident!

What’s the opposite of that? I have a very uncanny ability to recognize faces I’ve seen only once.

Me too! We have a serious problem with our neighbours, but I can't remember the faces of the ones we hate, so I end helping everybody with the door or their bags and later my wife is like "WTF, that's the bitch who throws her garbage on our yard!"

You're certainly not the only one. Why do you think that is? Are there any correlations with this trait and something else?

Ugh same. I have worst trouble with male faces. It's more confusing because I also have to guess if they know my twin instead & are just confused. Sometimes I assure them they're thinking of my twin, to skirt the issue, but in my heart I know Im lying to myself and them

I’m the same way. It’s been a source of embarrassment and frustration my whole life.
Nice to know I’m not alone! I feel seen. Not remembered, perhaps, but seen.
