There's a kind of strength I value that isn't about how powerful your defenses are, but allowing yourself to become shattered. I'd rather be in connection and broken than disconnected and whole.

I think this is hard because nobody has close friends anymore. If you allow yourself to become shattered youre out group and then you trigger that im-gonna-die-alone-in-the-woods brain loop
A group of best friends enables you to be more vulnerable. Lowers the stakes

Can someone allow themselves to be shattered over and over? Doesn't the eventual desensitization to afflictions generate its own defense?
