While I may be less than charitable, and possibly angry to a point of impaired reasoning, history has shown us that some acts of aggression can only be responded to in kind with force. Sometimes if you try to be reasonable the other side will just take as much as they can.

ok fair there are local points where playing hawk is better than playing dove, but lager scope it is better to cooperate, and u gotta be prepared to play dove against hawk at least twice

Yes, I agree completely. I think our only point of disagreement here is that I think this is a specific case where playing hawk is the optimal strategy. Not just for the opposing side, but to a lesser degree almost everyone.
