It is no more helpful than saying "[x] people are actually inferior, but we shouldn't treat them as actually subhuman." It's merely trying to put on airs of progress, not changing the belief that is the very problem.

I believe you're telling the truth that you have the gender identity of a woman! But the entire point of my article is that this is *insufficient* to be viewed as a woman, as the 'woman' concept has way more things in it than just gender identity.

Honestly, no, the entire point of your article reads as you agree with the people that want to make me go to the men's room and beat me up, but you don't agree that I should be treated quite that harshly, so you have a rationalization about it.

Just call me a tranny whore or a sissy or a shemale or something, at least then I'd know you're gonna throw me under the bus when treating me as a woman starts making you feel uncomfortable.

I have many trans friends I respect (and who liked my article), I'm not secretly thinking tranny whore or whatever at them. if you think I hold disdain for you I genuinely don't; the hostility you perceive in me is a projection.

I do not think you understand how hostile your ideas actually are. "Trans women are not women but we should humor them" is intensely patronizing. I genuinely feel more insulted by this than the people who want to force me to detransition because they think I'm a mentally ill man!

It sucks you feel insulted by that, which I genuinely mean. I would prefer a world where you didn't suffer because of it. I'd also prefer a world where I have control over my beliefs. The combination of the two is real unfortunate.

This conversation feels a bit circular, but I want to reiterate that my mind is a very, very hard boundary. It belongs to me, you have absolutely zero right to demand any changes in it, and any philosophy that gives ppl rights over each others' minds is extremely fucked up.

it's like walking into someone else's house and being like "i demand you move your piano, your piano over there is really pissing me off" like, I get it's pissing you off and I'm sorry, but this is absolutely MY HOUSE and you have absolutely zero right to demand changes in it.

If you start believing people have rights over each other's minds, then people could easily use that argument to demand you change around your own mind to stop offending them so much - and you *know* they would. But that's equally a dumb argument.
