Or at least I agree with nearly all of this, and I think I'm pretty firmly on one of the two sides of this issue.

The cishetronormative transphobic side where you are reducing trans people to data points and stripping away identity to satisfy your view of our perceived gender identity based on your flawed observations rather than the experiences of people within the community.

Transphobia is largely indefensible and based in disgust/bias.
Trans people are real, they should be treated the way they want to be treated, sex is a spectrum and there's no way to reasonably draw the lines so as to exclude all trans people and include all cis people.
