I’m not sure anything else in my life has made me so viscerally feel that something about modern society is messed up than trying to take care of a baby.

Regarding sleep: Just try your best to get on a good schedule (I followed the plan in Babywise, and it worked well with my son), and don’t worry too much about what you read online. Every baby is different, and babies go through phases of doing things more or less than average.
