Counterpoint: Jupyter notebooks (Python) are a far superior interactive data analysis + visualization tool than similar options for R, despite R having easier built-in statistical analysis. If you're doing more freeform data exploration Python comes out on top imo.

You shouldn't go with the consensus here. Python with Jupyter notebook is perfect for blogging. You will be to have the user of your blog follow you along in your data science. I feel like people are picking R because it's more accessible? And you're new? This isn't the answer.

Python with Seaborn is again, prettier. You put a lot of work into the way your product looks. The numbers will come out the same, your audience will thank you for end-user experience and prettiness.
