larping religion is fun like larping the dark ages is fun; u get to roleplay the positive, novel aspects and then put down ur costume and go home to a warm cozy bed and actual human freedom

'nooo bad religion is a minority, real religion done with kindness is actually great and flourishing' is an objection that to me sounds like 'noo its like the dark ages but without any plague and war', like uhh idk what you're larping but it's not the actual dark ages

sure the dark ages had some nice things like really dope clothing sometimes and connection with nature and small tribes/family systems and organic food but the systems resulting in that also resulted in a lot of horror
