I suspect I am an extremely weird person, but this feels strange to believe, because it seems very unlikely that I would be an extremely weird person. Only a tiny percentage of people are extremely weird! Why would *I* end up in that tiny percentage?

Most people don't have the orthodox childhood and then a heavy dabbling in psychedelics. I don't understand the exact mechanism, but I think we've end up reinventing ourselves to a much higher degree than most... something about the flexibility your mind needs to rotate that much
