My goal here is *reducing* the amount of child sexual abuse that happens. We might disagree on how to do this, but our end goal is the same. I do genuinely think that my strategy in the tweet has a good chance of reducing harm! I'm aligned with you on this.

There's some evidence suggesting this yes, but it's hard to tell; we do know that rape rates seemed to drop correlating with porn getting popular.

Misleading: the only thing that dropped with the proliferation of porn was the amount of rape cases reported to law enforcement, but not the amount of actual rapes that took place but went unreported to law enforcement. Not every crime gets reported, & statistics don’t cover that
