I think the first is pretty clearly not the case. Porn definitely warps our sexualities, sensitizing us to "normal" sexual acts and creating a need for more novel/transgressive content - especially in the cases of excessive consumption. The 2nd, I'm not sure.

I think the first *is* largely the case; my guess is that there is societal influence of fetishes, but this is largely unpredictable; most people with strange fetishes I've interviewed developed the fetish before any exposure to porn.
I do think exposure to porn can have some impact, but I suspect the impact is largely "refining" the taste, or possibly triggering a latent thing, similar to how psychedelics can trigger latent psychosis that would have happened anyway.

Hmmm. I think I still disagree! 1. In this context, "largely" and not at all makes an enormous difference! We want no new cases of CP preference. 2. Just because those individuals developed fetishes before exposure to porn does not = porn cannot induce, just that it hadn't 1/
