Intelligence is generally more prosocial, empathetic and optimistic about others. In my view global warming is a much more serious threat.

Here's a good read on your topic - the author gives humans a 1/6 chance in taking ourselves out within the next century due to an anthropogenic event (nuclear, engineered virus, AGI...).
Seems optimistic!
