5/ It also turns out it’s easily learnable; ppl have natural intuitions for how to do the “energy healing” thing if you give them an instruction like “pretend very earnestly that you can energy heal me” (it can’t b a joke; they need to actually try) I’ve seen autists learn it

i spent 18 years of my life believing that prayer for healing was effective, which was nearly the same thing! id just walk around beaming desire-as-prayer into the sky

uhm it felt sort of like a release, like it gave me the feeling that i could control what was going on and that made me feel a bit more relaxed/safe. i don't feel a desire to do this anymore but i also feel much more okay with not being in control lately

ur convinced youre having effects on reality by willing it? are you not losing your absolute shit and trying in-depth, rigorous testing to try to find out what the mechanism is and under what conditions it works/doesn't work, etc?

"willing it" is connected to reality because it changes you, the person willing it it absolutely does has effects like changing my body language so people will react to me differently I can will people to come closer or go away, it's not something astounding I need to test
