i mean honestly if ur gonna learn partner dance from scratch, blues is probably the way to go, and then runners up are salsa or whatever the popular latin dance in ur area is, or some form of swing

ideally you should find a private tutor and then pay them for like... 10-12 lessons or something as a good start. i hear that if u go to group lessons, u can just ask the teacher afterwards if they do private lessons

if you're vaguely coordinated at all, you could probably get skilled enough to start really enjoying yourself after 10-12 hours of private tutoring. group lessons aren't a match at all, will take you years of group lessons to get there

or i mean find someone who loves it/doesn't care and they might not charge to teach you; that's how i learned, i got real lucky. i also teach for free, tho i mainly only am good at getting follows from 0 to medium
