Okay, so the alternative is not to redistribute it to you individually, but to redistribute it to a bunch of people who will use it on consumer spending, rather than allocating it as capital.

Aella has good opinions on a whole lot of things and then shockingly bad/confused opinions on taxes and education. I have a hard time reconciling these things but it is generally not an argument you can win, she is *extremely* convinced that all taxes are theft.

most of the smartest people i know tend to have economic views that cluster similarly to mine, and we all tended to arrive at them kinda independently. This doesn't mean we're right, but there *are* at least some convincing lines of reasoning in there!

Sure! Many of the smartest people I know agree with me, too. That's because 1) people with similar ideas tend to cluster and 2) i tend to rate the intelligence of people who agree with me quite highly! We are good at convincing each other of the correctness of our shared opinion
