While I'm sympathetic to post rats, Holly touched on an important thing here. Often people lose touch with *why* trying to keep contact with reality is important, and forget the intense damage it can cause to yourself and others if you treat it as just an aesthetic.

i feel like i'm very strongly in both worlds; im full-blown 'truth is an illusion' *and also* 'finding actual truth is important'; they're both vital, but also occur in very different frames, and imo most people fail to make the frame distinction here
