HPV is incredibly common, w multiple strands that significantly increase risk of cancer (guys specifically tend not to know this). antibiotic-resistant gon and chlamydia both proliferating. also no one in the 70s protected against HIV bc it came from nowhere. risks aren't fixed.

I'm unclear about concrere risks from gon and chlamydia; anecdotally the ppl I know who've had it didn't have issues clearing it, but low sample size. I do agree risks aren't fixed.

You have to go out of your way at the doctor's office to get vaccinated for HPV

you do? I thought they were supposed to auto include it with your vaccines as a teen. My mom turned it down cause she thought her daughter would never have premarital sex, I had to go ask for it myself once I was an adult.
this was true for girls but not boys. practice changed recently. at least, this is what my doctor told me earlier this year (noticed I hadn't been vaccinated and suggested)

This is correct. Boys/men have not been traditionally included, though this is (rightly) beginning to change.

Afaik the vaccine is only effective in prevention of 9 of the 150+ strains
