If a poly person starts dating 4 people at the same time a mono person does one, do they on a average have the same level of emotional attachment after 3 months?

My # is 3 but I've only not been in a serious relationship for 7 months in the 22 year span from 15 yrs old to now... I imagine other people who've been in 10+ year long relationships have a low # of serious relationships largely because they've had few opportunities.
