Which leads me to another question: is a podcast interview "meeting someone" or is it just a weird thing that happened on the internet?

We met in the dining hall at vibecamp and talked about survey research since I spent the first almost decade of my career in survey research and I respect/am really excited about the work you're doing and the direction you're going
