ppl sometimes say i am the worst person to listen to about sex and intimacy cause i did a bunch of sex work
buuuut honestly i feel like sex workers are some of the best people to listen to about sex and intimacy; they get way larger sample sizes than you do.

Larger sample size, smaller bias. The type of sex that happens in sex work is really really different than the type that happens in other dynamics e.g. a monogamous relationship

People aren't samples. Buying a human being for sex is slightly less intimate than rape. I WOULD, however, listen to a sex worker on managing multiple STDs

sample size is important for some parts of the conversation, but depth is an important factor that i don't think sex workers can be helpful in commenting on (from experience from their work)

I'm surprised people say that. Not only is being a sex worker very expanding, but you're a data gathering, systematic sex worker with a skeptical mindset. Golden resource🦄 But sure, not useful for everything. Just probably a lot of things

I think it's entirely possible sex works selects for traits that may not be representative of the general population's experience of sex. of course, I have no idea how heterozygous "sexual experience" is

Does a person who has bought a lot of sex similarly have a large sample size, or is there an important distinction there?

I'd be more inclined to listen to you on sex-matters than intimacy-matters
The fact that you've done escorting for me definitely does somewhat invalidate your opinions on certain things. Let me rephrase: the fact that you were able to disconnect sex from emotion that way, does.
