This is not a meme or a joke: There is a rationalism to satanism pipeline. I've now heard countless, credible stories of literally satanic individuals thriving particularly well in the rationality subcultures.

been part of many rationalist communities in different cities since 2015, rationalists are my primary social group, I lived in a deeprat group house in Berkeley, and I've never heard of any hints of this besides maayyybe one instance of people banned from the rat community

Aella I honestly was not subtweeting you (as some people implied) but you kinda just came out as satanist because satanism is by definition bad. Definitions are pre-rational, of course. You are rational to say it’s not obviously bad, and that’s the pipeline.

i didn't think you were subtweeting me! but also my understanding of the satanism definition is not that it is by-definition bad; if the thing you mean is "rationalists become a bad thing" then uhhh i think my views on this are a bit more nuanced/complicated
