This guy's responses to people mad he asked why Zelensky wasn't wearing a suit are... kinda wholesome, actually. Tbf I think ppl are mad at him not for their stated reasons, but because they are signalling support/defense for a hero figure.

I think the room is very biased. Also, the room is full of people over-reacting to my comment. Many have suggested that I be put to death for my tweet. So should I read the room and kill myself?

I stan Zelensky too and he coulda shown up naked for all I care, to be clear, but also I think Peter's tweet was more innocent than people are taking it.

Yet another example of politics merely being the friend/enemy distinction. Critique of the "paragon of friend" even in an objectively anodyne way means that you are the enemy.

My take is that tweet felt to a lot of people like significant diminishing of the situation in Ukraine and they also reacted to that. It's not just "times are tough", it's a literal war with daily bombardments of major cities. So, his tweet was more stupid and cold than bad

It seems like the tweet is emphasizing the wrong thing, with a judgmental attitude. Like "ok so you saved my daughter from a fire but why didn't you fill out the liability form correctly before running into the building?"

i think it’s more like… a whole country is getting invaded and innocent civilians are dying but yes let’s talk about what the president’s wearing. reminds me of when people threw a fit over Obama’s tan suit lol.

It is kind of funny that their reaction to someone paying attention to an irrelevant thing is to pay loads of attention to an irrelevant tweet.
