None of these answers fit me. I once knew someone on PSN who pretended to be a female for almost a year. Ended up finding out it was a guy. I initially liked him less, but grew to like him as I originally did before I found out.

I don't judge whether I like a person based on the gender (if any) of their screen name and avatar. One friend used female coded name & game characters, gender ambigous in chat, never spoke on mic, turned out cishet male. I was like whatever, still liked them the same

I need an option for "neutral" - I work at a company where nonbinary or trans gender expression is very common Also this question makes more sense a decade ago. Most online spaces involve pics, video, or audio chatting, so there's less surprise about this
