And? Is that the end of the argument? Weren't there other factors involved? Stalin? Hitler? Cold War? Traditional Russian Expansionism? What about Democracy? Where does that fit? No regrets to anything related to capitalism?

I feel the need to preface this by saying that I’ve voted Democrat for my entire adult life… but capitalism has lifted more people out of poverty than ever in the history of humanity.
It’s accurate to recognize disparities & inequity — but shortsighted to blame it on capitalism.

Capitalism or colonialism or fascism or nationalism or smth like it is a better comparison bc the Holocaust refers to a relatively short period of concentrated horror and evil but communism (which had plenty of those) is a much broader thing.
It's apples to industrial farming.
